The building

A slender concrete tower wrapped in an undulating, faceted skin of aluminum and low-iron glass, 100 East 53rd Street is the work of Pritzker laureate Norman Foster. Interiors and the fireplace-anchored lobby are by William T. Georgis, and the Michelin-recognized restaurant Le Jardinier occupies the base, on a site steps from the Seagram Building and its plaza.

The story of 100 East 53rd Street

Designed by Foster and Partners and completed in 2019, the tower was developed by RFR Holding with the Chinese developer Vanke. It was later rebranded Selene. Its narrow footprint and gently curved glass place it among Midtown East's most refined slender towers, in dialogue with the modernist landmarks around it.

Why buyers choose 100 East 53rd Street

Design pedigree and light. With just 94 residences by Norman Foster, floor-to-ceiling curved glass, and a Michelin-recognized restaurant at its base, the tower offers a quiet, architectural alternative on the East Side.
