432 Park Avenue
The white tower that redrew the Midtown skyline.
432 Park Avenue rises in Midtown between East 56th and 57th Streets. Designed by Rafael Viñoly and developed by CIM Group and Macklowe Properties, the 2015 tower stands 1,396 feet, among the tallest residential buildings in the Western Hemisphere, with about 125 condominium residences behind its grid of ten-foot-square windows.
The building
432 Park is a slender white tower, a grid of Portland-cement concrete framing ten-foot-square windows on 93-foot-square floor plates, with a height-to-width ratio near fifteen to one. Open mechanical floors spaced up the shaft break the wind, and the upper residences command some of the widest views in the city, from Central Park to the harbor.
The story of 432 Park Avenue
